The OGRIS AM SEE has existed for 70 years and three generations. As a family business, our focus is not only on the well-being of our guests and employees, but also on the well-being of our environment. We run the hotel with nature in mind by saving energy, conserving resources and promoting regionality.

We obtain 100% of our electricity from renewable energy sources. In fall 2023, we plan to switch from oil heating to district heating. And a PV system to generate solar power for our e-charging station is also being considered.

We offer our guests a varied breakfast with local products (pastries from the Lagler natural bakery, eggs from the Herzogstuhl egg ring) and organic products (honey from the Allesch organic apiary, dairy products from the Mallhof organic dairy). Homemade jams, seasonal fruit from our garden and freshly prepared muesli and oats round off the breakfast menu. By switching to a served breakfast instead of a breakfast buffet, we avoid unnecessary food waste.

We reward a climate-neutral journey by train with a credit note. An e-charging station is exclusively available to our guests. Guests can store their own bikes in our bike garage and charge their e-bikes. Our trekking bikes can be rented for a fee.

Through communication with our guests and training for our employees, we create awareness for responsible treatment of the environment. Our values are lived by us and our employees and can be experienced by our guests. Mindfulness in our dealings with one another, enjoyment of our work and sustainability in everything we do are just some of them. Trust, appreciation and openness in the team are the basis for this. Guests and employees appreciate this atmosphere.

We are constantly developing and thinking on a larger scale, beyond the business and the generation. In this way, we want to help shape the region in a high-quality way in order to preserve it as a living space and tourist destination for the future.
